Facebook informs me NYU Law School will host a forum tonight on democracy, politics, and participation as a part of NYC’s Internet Week. The event is organized by Elizabeth Stark, who also put together Futures of the Internet, a fantastic discussion I attended and reported on here. Speakers include Baratunde Thurston, a comedian, pundit and web editor for The Onion, Andrew Rasiej, Founder of Personal Democracy Forum, Jay Rosen, Professor at the NYU Department of Journalism and founder of New Assignment.net, and Zephyr Teachout, a Professor at Duke Law School. The panel will be moderated by Allison Fine, author of Momentum: Igniting Social Change in the Connected Age. Held at NYU in the Greenberg Lounge, 40 Washington Square South, 6-8 pm.
