Scream Club on YouTube

I expect Scream Club’s Don’t Fuck With My Babies would ultimately be rejected from artist Kari Altmann’s youtube collection of amateur transporter beam users, though I offer it up regardless of higher production values because I like the video. The song was found after a frequent tipster alerted me to the lesbian electro hip-hop band — naturally I was interested. The group’s And You Belong is undoubtedly amongst my favorite tracks on youtube, and according to my source may find its antecedents in L’Trimm’s We Like The Cars That Go Boom (of which there are surprising number song remakes on youtube) and Monie Love – Monie in the Middle. I’d add to that a few recent examples such as Le Tigre, and Peaches (the latter performer has collaborated with the band). I know this is old news, but I would be remiss not to point out that Scream Club’s madly collaged blinking website finds its roots in the artist collective PaperRad.
