Google Plans a PC Operating System – NYTimes.com

A companion to their browser, which for all its perks, is distinctly unfriendly to those with heavy email volume and trade in images. It is neither artist nor blogger friendly. I remain skeptical.

Hey Paddy, curious what your criticisms of Chrome are…

I don’t know whether this has anything to do with the old computers I have, but if I’m going through old mail on previous gmail pages, I’m always brought back to the first page after I’ve read something on a previous page. If you’ve executed a search function and you’re looking for more than one thing, that’s VERY annoying.

Also, you can open PDFs in the Firefox browser and copy and paste them. You can’t do that in Chrome. Finally, I assume there has to be some way to do this, but in firefox you can right click on an image and view the lone image and url. That’s not an option in Chrome and I haven’t been able to figure out how to make that happen.
