[Editor’s Note: IMG MGMT is an annual image-based artist essay series. Born in Freilassing, today’s invited artist, Claudia Wieser, is represented by Sies+Höke in Düsseldorf. She has had solo shows at Renwick Gallery NY, Ben Kaufmann Berlin, and Galerie Eva Winkeler in Frankfurt. This September, her work will be included in Access All Areas, a group show at Galerie Max Hetzler]

Claudia Weiser’s IMG MGMT title, Teppich des Lebens, translates as Carpet of Life. The title was inspired by the German poet Stefan George. The essay continues after the jump.
