Best Link Ever! Enter Melanie Griffith’s Magic Door

by David Harper on April 16, 2010 · 10 comments Best Link Ever!

Entering Melanie Griffith's personal website is like entering another dimension. Besides the acid-trip-meets-enchanted-medieval-forest look of the place, each link yields the soothing sounds of Melanie's voice set to some new-agey spiritual sounding computer music. Once you use “The Magic Door” your options are numerous – you can “chit chat,” visit the meditation room, or browse the message board to find book recommendations or discuss overcoming addiction. All in all, the experience is either the purest embodiment of good or the tenth, yet unknown, circle of hell.

David Harper maintains Art Fag City’s Best Link Ever! column, and is the blog’s Curatorial Fellow. Harper is the Visual Arts Curator for The Brooklyn Academy of Music.

I would not have had “Working Girl” turn out this way if I wrote the script of Mel’s life.

Investigative journalism at its best! Thanks. Are you sure there’s no lipo donation area, as Valerie mentions?
