The onion handoff
Editor’s note: My learning curve learning the new AFC backend had a few glitches, so this post never made it to the front page a month ago. We’re switching the masthead up today but I wanted to make sure at least one image selected by Masthead artist Brad Troemel plus the accompanying post made the main page.
Chicago based artists Brad Troemel and Lauren Christiansen are The Jogging, a stream of consciousness, art-informed, joke-loving tumblr blog. I follow the Jogging’s updates regularly so when Troemel approached me about the masthead , I not only approved but insisted his work be part of the blog’s relaunch.
The picture posted above also appears The Jogging’s tumblr, so readers who like what they see can follow the project there as well. First image up — The onion hand off!
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Brad Troemel is an artist and writer based in New York. He received his BA in Visual and Critical Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2010 and is attending NYU Steinhardt’s MFA program with plans to graduate in 2012. He is a contributor to the website Jogging and an organizer of online art exhibits. His newest project, STATE, promotes new projects and writing by upcoming artists.
