AFC’s extensive reporting on the Jersey City Museum has sparked some much needed action. Hyperallergic is organizing the PBR Tour fundraiser to help the JCM get back on its feet after some tough financial problems, as first reported on the blog back in April, that have raised questions about the future of the museum. Hyperallergic’s noble mission to save this community institution won’t disappoint– it includes mini-golf, beer, and hot dogs (don’t worry, veggie ones too!) The event will be held at the JCM’s Golden Door artist mini-golf course. For an advanced $15 ticket, or $20 at the door, visitors get all-you-can-play, eat, and drink, plus a brief talk by the curator about the mini-golf sculptures and exhibition concept. The course is located at Hamilton Square (232 Pavonia Avenue, between McWilliams Pl. & Erie st.) right next to the Grove Street PATH station, so there’s no excuse for New Yorkers to miss out on this great cause. Show some Jersey love at the fundraiser on Thursday July 22nd from 7-9:30 PM.
