Who Wants a Museum-Based Sundae?

Sundaes at MoMa!

There is a God! Or is there? Serious Eats reports pastry sous chef Cristina Nasatasi recently introduced a trio of ice cream sundaes to Terrace 5 at MoMA- but they cost $11.50! This is fancy stuff, so I can understand the price — the gelato and sorbet come from Il Laboratorio del Gelato, and the toppings are all made in house — but these aren’t exactly artist-friendly prices. For an affordable equivalent, artists may need to consider making their own, but I suspect it will take the likes of experts like Paul Outlaw and Jen Catron to compete with MoMA’s “Bourbon Carmel Pecan Sundae”. Don’t let me down guys.
