So long, Art Cat. We’re sad to hear that New York’s hub for emerging and underknown artist exhibition listings will be converted into an archive as of January 1st, 2013. Writes Barry Hoggard: “Charging for listings, for a calendar that wants to maintain quality and promote underknown artists and galleries, is a non-starter. It is apparent to me, after eight years, that there is no financial support for an art calendar of this kind.” He goes on to say that if anyone is interested in the code and data, he’s ready to talk. - It’s wikigifs! All that information buried so, so deep in the internet is at your fingertips, in randomly-generated gif form. Infographics. Capoeira techniques. A Baltoro Glacier animation. A spinning hexlet annular, in sideview. It’s all yours. [wikigifs, via: the Verge]
- Breezy Point is still really fucked up. It looks like there will be lots of work to do, for a long time. [ANIMAL]

how comes defacing rothko is bad (while it is actually okay) and having lil kim as time’s person is good (which might be either ironically ironic or kinda bad)?
