BHQF University Is Back in Session, Life Skills Offered

Bruce High Quality Foundation, "Teach 4 Amerika", 2011

Here are some things most people don’t learn in art school: science, new media theory, basic math…taxes. All that’s about to change starting January 20th, when the Bruce High Quality Foundation University reopens for its Spring 2013 semester. The offerings look enticing: for absolutely no fee, artists can learn skills as wide-ranging as silkscreening, circuit-bending, taxes, and the beauty of math concepts. You Watching Me Googling You is a course where students watch Jonah Emerson Bell google them until they talk about surveillance. It’s free! If you like your classes a little less in-your-face, you may also want to sign up for Brad Troemel’s reading group Chat Room, which brings the online art dialogue into the real world. Some things you just can’t get from the Internet.

We have our own personal reasons for going, so we’ll see ya there.
