Warhol-themed Perrier Bottles Are On The Way

Reach for an Andy Warhol-themed bottle of Perrier this summer? Warhol will be featured in a limited-edition series of Perrier bottles to be released June 24th. He’ll join the ranks of Agnès B, Sophia Wood, Paul & Joe, and Dita Von Teese, all who’ve had their own limited-edition Perrier design.

As far as we can tell, the Warholian elements of the design include his iconic screen print line quality, his signature, and the same tired quotes that anyone would recognize from a dorm room poster circa 2007. The Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times both pointed out that Warhol popularized the original Perrier design in a series of vibrant screen prints in the 1980s, making the collaboration slightly more palatable.

Meanwhile, we wonder if Perrier’s future limited-edition bottle designs will follow this art bottle trend to its logical conclusion. Namely, why not simplify things and commit to a Marcel Duchamp-inspired design?
