Universalscene’s feel.that.sh.it
The above GIF is a silent version of Tim Nolan and Jen Lu’s FEELTHATSHIT, a landing page and art work that also attempts to sell t-shirts. Working under the moniker Universalscene, the duo’s website activates as a visitor moves their cursor around the page. Square windows that isolate certain iconography on the page page pop up while an electronic soundscape backs the experience and responds to the movements of the cursor.
Click on one of the website’s icons and you’re lead to a buy page that describes the previous landing page as “an immersive browser-based window shopping experience.” The hope, it seems, is to convert some of those window shoppers into actual buyers. And I can see that happening. 38 bucks for a t-shirt almost nobody has isn’t bad!
