Scott Gelber‘s GIFs have graced the pages of AFC, but there’s now on The New York Times as well. The GIF accompanies a piece on The Upshot, which tells us how little we know about dental hygiene. It turns out, virtually nothing—even the benefits of flossing were up for reevaluation.
Gelber’s GIF doesn’t signify that exactly, but it does make all those teeth models you see in dental offices seem way more creepy than already do. Even so-called healthy teeth suggest death and decay when removed from the face they came from.
