- As a non-profit AFC isn’t supposed to have an official opinion on election politics. But it’s four days before the election and for the benefit of the public good, I feel comfortable imploring people not to elect Donald Trump. He brags about sexually assaulting women. He wants to build a wall between the US and Mexico. He seeks to hamper the freedom of the press. He shows no respect for democratic process in the US. His ignorance will start trade wars, destroy the economy and possibly entangle us in nuclear war. I’d like to survive the next four years—don’t vote for this guy. And by the way, that Hillary Clinton email scandal is bullshit. [Vox]
- Speaking of terrible people, here’s a piece on Israel’s Miri Regev who in January 2015 defunded Haifa’s Al-Midan Theater, a liberal drama troupe, for staging a play she judged was secretly “trying to undermine the state.” She then created a “a loyalty in culture bill,” which is currently stuck in the Israeli Knesset. That bill needs to die. [artnet News]

- “The New Imageries of GIF Culture” is a conference that will launch November 24-25 at Università di Bologna. We’re said we’ll miss it, but excited about the reading list they’ve assembled. (full disclosure: I’m in it.) [Viral Art]
- The Tribeca art scene just got a whole lot bit bigger. Bortalami will move to Walker Street. [ARTnews]
