Here at Art F City, we love Sally McKay. She’s been our GIF of the Day several times before, but I can’t not laugh every time I see this one. I stumbled across it on the blog McKay runs with Lorna Mills, who has a GIF show opening this week, while looking for an image for our events listings and probably laughed for a good 45 seconds. Why is this so funny? Because it reveals the absurdity of the very common fear of MRI machines? Perhaps. But as if the idea of a ghost living inside a sterile piece of medical equipment wasn’t comical/tragic enough, this ghost is wearing a really ridiculous (pig?) costume that looks like something out of a pageant the North Korean state might make middle schoolers perform about how much pork they have to eat. It’s also extremely uncommon to see representations of ghosts in spaces with drop ceilings, a hilarious detail a lesser GIF maker might have overlooked. This is a gem.
