C’mon, who’s it gonna be? Rhizome has posted a job listing to replace Lauren Cornell as Executive Director, but nobody seems to have any idea who could replace her. The applicant would need to be familiar with net art and new media, have curatorial and/or grant-writing experience, and have the ability to bring in cash money from donors and collectors. Who fits that profile? We have no idea.

Now you can xerox your own Xerox Book. In collaboration with the non-profit Primary Information, Seth Siegelaub, the do-it-all curator, writer, and art dealer, just released half a dozen of his essays and art projects from the late 60's and 70's for free download. It's all part of Primary Information's new Seth Siegelaub Online Archive and it will be expanding in the months to come. Siegelaub's interest in conceptual artists and how they can make a living from ephemeral and reproducible materials remains incredibly fresh, particularly in light of the Occupy Movement.

I had no idea there were enough artists in Chelsea using dolphins in their work for Tim Hutchings’ new book “Everything is Dolphins” to include more than say, one. I was wrong. According to Hutchings’ Kickstarter, the illustrations included in the new role playing book he’s publishing come from both self-taught and gallery-represented artists. It’s unclear exactly what this game will look like — his campaign simply describes the project as “hovering somewhere between a side scroller video game, talking animal fairy tale, and triptastic fun” (whatever that is) — but I did suss out that you’re supposed to play a dolphin in a world without humans.

Ideal candidates have a strong interest in visual art and digital media, are proficient in MS Office, Quickbooks, and Excel and possess excellent writing skills. Applicants should also be extremely organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. Photoshop knowledge is a plus, but not necessary.
