Esther Robinson, Ownership Panelist

Esther Robinson has worked on behalf of artists for over 15 years in many capacities, including foundation program officer, television and film producer/director, technology entrepreneur and arts activist. She is the founder of ArtHome, a non-profit that helps artists and their communities build assets and equity through financial literacy, credit access, home ownership and micro-enterprise support. ArtHome’s programs have been supported by,among others,  The Rockefeller Foundation, Leveraging Investments in Creativity/Ford Foundation, ArtPlace, and the National Endowment for the Arts. From 1999 to 2006 Esther was the Director of Film/Video and Performing Arts for the Creative Capital Foundation and one of the principal architects of its innovative grant-making system.  Esther is also a producer and a filmmaker. She was one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 to Watch” in 2006. Her film, “A Walk into the Sea: Danny Williams and The Warhol Factory” won top prizes at the Berlin, Tribeca and Chicago film festivals, and was distributed theatrically and broadcast internationally.
