Steven Englander, Ownership Panelist

Steven Englander is ABC No Rio’s director and sole full-time salaried staff member. Steven served on ABC No Rio’s Board of Directors from 1994 through 1998. During that period he was the “point-person” in resolving No Rio’s tenancy issues with the City Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD). In 1998, when ABC No Rio’s tenancy issues were favorably resolved, Steven resigned from the Board of Directors and was hired as director. As director, Steven oversaw the expansion of ABC No Rio programs and operations and steered the organization through the city review process that resulted in No Rio’s acquisition of property at 156 Rivington Street.
