I have remarked before that Mexican art museums post a ton of weird GIFs to their social media accounts all the time.
This post, though, is pretty helpful. It’s a step-by-step guide to reaching the fabulous Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) via public transit. The museum is located in the Centro Cultural Universitario in the heart of the sprawling Ciudad Universitaria, a modernist campus set in acres of ecological preserves and sculpture gardens. It’s one of my personal favorite museums in the world, located in one of the best examples of modernist university design and land art (check out the Espacio Escultorico) but damn is it hard to navigate!
Thankfully, this GIF leads transit users there with ease (UBER drivers WILL get lost). I wish I had this open on my phone the first time I visited. It guides you from the Centro Cultural Universitario Metrobus Line 1 station on Avenida Insurgentes straight to the museum’s front door.
Brilliant.
