Rainbow (or Melanie Schiff?) at the Arsenale in Venice
We came across this little gem early on in our stumbling session through the Venice Biennale’s largely indecipherable Arsenale. The space’s historical weight undoubtedly provides a challenge for any curator, however Daniel Birnbaum, the exhibition’s organizer, failed to provide any sense of cohesion, relegating the Arsenale to near unreadable status. Birnbaum’s efforts proved more intelligible in the Giardini, but we still favor this Melanie Schiff-esque rainbow to the remainder of the Arsenale.
