This article cites how much many museum directors are making, but I found this related tidbit interesting “In 2004, general admission to the museum was raised to $20 from $12. Annual attendance has roughly doubled, since then, to 2.8 million. In the same period, the number of visitors at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art was little changed, at about 4.8 million.”
