Who wants to annoy their loved ones over the holidays? I had a chance to do just that over the Thanksgiving holidays with Gristleism, a box that generates an array of Throbbing Gristle-type experimental noise, drone, and melody. These sounds counter all the football, shopping and caroling you’re likely to hear this holiday.
Personally, I love the box for those strange sounds, but it’s important to note that we’re basically talking about a plastic speaker, so purchasers shouldn’t expect golden noise. It’s just a stocking stuffer, but it happens to be THE BEST EVER. The box features:
Thirteen original TG loops: a mix of experimental noise, industrial drone, and classic melodies and rhythms.
Built-in 50mm speaker, volume control, pitch-shift control and loop selector switch.
Features more loops and almost twice the frequency range of the original Buddha Machines.
GRISTLEISM is a collaboration between Industrial Records, Throbbing Gristle and Christiaan Virant (the creator of the original FM3 Buddha Machines).

perfect stocking stuffer that goes well with my throbbing gristle mistletoe that plays ‘Hot On The Heals of Love’ (as covered by GG Alvin & the Chipmunks) when you stand underneath.
