Theodore Darst‘s Kill Bill GIF offers satisfaction for about a second before it takes it away. That’s how long the background stays completely crisp and black before it switches abruptly to red and stutters back to black again. The color of the tear drop in the foreground, which is also red and black similarly shifts in constant opposition to the background.
The title may refer to the red strobing effect in red that appeared in the movie. For me, the most engaging aspect of this GIF is the slight blue shadow from the background that remains visible on the tear in the foreground.
