New York might be the financial center of the art world, but art production has becoming increasingly decentralized, with centers popping up all over the country. For that reason, the BURNAWAY-Pelican Bomb critic-in-residence program couldn’t come at a better time. Critics need to be seeing art in more places, particularly if they intend to cover the emerging art scene.
So apply. Three critics will be selected to visit Atlanta and New Orleans for one week each, with a stipend of $2,500 for their time. The deadline is July 15th.
