Steampunks: always clogging Soho traffic double-parking their gasoline-powered horseless carriages. If only there were a space to accommodate their needs!

Thanks to the private real-estate investment company IGI-USA, all that’s about to change. Carriage garages are just one of the amenities advertised in 15 Renwick, an eleven-story condo building designed specifically for the affluent steampunk community. It’s the best stupid website we’ve seen all year.

According to developer Dan Oelsner, quoted in DNAinfo, the building reflects the “boutique neighborhood” of “Hudson Square” (a roughly 10-block-long by 5-block-wide area between Tribeca and the West Village) and will draw the local “rich hipsters,” read: somebody went to Williamsburg and saw an antler chandelier.

Renderings of the spaces come with a set of inspirational “characters” who “embody the creative persona of today’s Hudson Square resident and the insider nature of the single-block Renwick Street.” In an image, the women are 18th century French courtiers, the men are some kind of late 19th century fisticuff-prizefighters. They congregate emotionlessly over backgammon and croquet. From a steampunk perspective, 15 Renwick shit the bed. Did nobody even bother to rent Wild Wild West? On the other hand, condos come with large windows, wood panelling, and a leather-themed boxing gym. Condos start at $2.5 million.
