Never has the vast expanse of the Sonoran Desert been treated with so much low-fi static noise. The so-called metamorphic core complexes loom largely in the work of Kenaim Alshatti, a Phoenix-based artist who posts his GIFs on a daily basis via his Tumblr. With a hazy, burnt-out palette recalling the weird rainbow effect of an aerodynamic contrails, this could be the past future vision of a Be Here Now-aided road trip.
