Details: AFC is pleased to announce a guided tour of Bushwick galleries, followed by dinner and drinks. Your $250 ticket gets you a shuttled to seven Bushwick galleries, followed by a meal, drinks, and discussion at artist haunt Hi Hello. We only have room for 10 guests, so please reserve your tickets early!

By now, it’s well known that Bushwick is home to countless artists and creative minds. Even for those embedded in the scene, though, finding those special places can be very difficult. Many are hard to find—in basements or tucked away on a little traveled side street—or only open on weekends. Some projects can have a huge impact on the art community but last only a few months.

These are the spaces that need to be seen and remembered. And what better way to do that than by taking a tour through the vast Bushwick landscape with Art F City Executive Director and critic Paddy Johnson! Johnson brings with her, nearly twelve years of experience on the scene, awards for her criticism from Creative Capital, the Village Voice, and Rob Pruitt.

This summertime tour of some of Bushwick’s most beloved artist run and artistic-centered spaces will give attendees an inside look at a exploding artistic community bursting with creative life and vitality. Visit an artist run space that exists in a storage unit in a garage. See a gallery full of performance enhancing supplements and food stuffs. Experience gorgeous photographs inspired by the constructed landscapes of mid-nineteenth century cemeteries. And do all this from the comfort of a charter bus.

After visiting 7 galleries—some well established, others just days old—we’ll dine at Hi Hello, a low key bar and restaurant in Bushwick where we will be able to relax, drink some wine and discuss what we’ve seen. There’s certain to be a lot to discuss, so pick up your tickets now.
