Where Are They Now?
Julia Halperin is now a staff writer for ArtINFO. She interned at AFC in 2009, while a senior at Columbia University majoring in English literature and art history. Before that, she was the arts and entertainment editor of the Columbia Daily Spectator and the art editor of Columbia’s arts and features magazine, The Eye.
Reid Singer is now an Editorial Assistant at ArtINFO. Before that, Reid interned at AFC during the summer and fall of 2011, after receiving his BA in Art History from the University of Chicago. A part-time baal koreh at his parents’ synagogue, Reid has also written for The Creator’s Project and The New Yorker.
Michelle Halabura runs The Office Is No Place For Art, an art management and public relations firm. She interned at AFC in the summer of 2010, helping to manage our Sound of Art album, before going on to receive a Masters at Sotheby’s.
Liza Eliano works as a Publicity Assistant at Random House. She interned at AFC during the summer of 2010, as an Art History major at Barnard College.
Marina Galperina interned at AFC during the fall and winter of 2009. She now blogs at Animal New York and Flavorwire.
Dave Harper is Curator of Visual Art (BAMart) at the Brooklyn Academy of Music where he oversees both exhibitions and a fundraising program. He studied fine art and art history at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Boston (B.F.A. 2004) and Pratt Institute, Brooklyn (M.S. 2006). Besides being the first Curatorial Fellow at Art Fag City, he currently works as a freelance curator, adviser and writer and serves on the board of trustees for NURTUREart Non-Profit in Brooklyn, NY.
