Eve Sussman is an artist based in Brooklyn. She works primarily with film, video and installation. Her algorithmic film noir, “whiteonwhite” is currently on view at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
Latest projects: a collaboration with Simon Lee, “No food. No money. No jewels.” – produced at EMPAC – premiering in 2016; a performance-installation in collaboration with drummer Jim White and dancer Claudia de Serpa Soares, in the Next Wave Festival this November.

As an advocate for artists’ live/work housing Eve was a member of the Brooklyn Live/Work Coalition in the early 2000’s. In 2012 with colleagues from New York City Loft Tenants (NYCLT) she successfully lobbied legislators in Albany to strengthen and expand live/work tenant protections by amending the Loft Law. These hard won amendments (tied to the sunsetting of rent stabilization) now hang in the balance with the rest of NYC’s rent regulations.
