ART WORLD CRED

Having worked extensively for Jeff Koons, there is no denying Jaclyn Santos‘ strong technical skills. There may also be no denying her absence from reality at least in relation to how her expressed interests about her work match to the paintings themselves. Her works depict the female figure and her website’s online statement speaks of expressing “vulnerability and identity.” The work delivers what the artist statement promises, and nothing more.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:

She was an assistant to Jeff Koons.

CHARACTER ASSESSMENT:

With defining self-defining quotes such as she “was really smart” and “could have been a lawyer,” Jaclyn is most entertaining because she brags about her intelligence while making poorly thought out statements. So far, her feminist inclinations fail, probably because she seems to embody the female bimbo stereotype her art is supposed to be fighting.

TYPECAST:

Post Feminist Wanna Be
