Art Fag City Almost Live

by Art Fag City on September 26, 2006 Events

Exciting news dear readers: I have been invited to take part in a panel discussion this Thursday covering all sorts of feminist goodness. Esteemed panelists (uh, other than myself) include Maura Reilly, the curator of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art at the Brooklyn Museum, and Danielle Mysliwiec, co-founder of Brainstormers’ Report. Yes, finally, you have a chance to see Art Fag City talk before a smallish audience (seating is limited so you will need to RSVP.) Of course, you can hear me “talk” any day – the real opportunity here is to be illuminated by two highly intelligent women whose knowledge you don’t have access to on a regular basis. This discussion will be moderated and host by Renée Vara, founder of Vara Art, a private curatorial company known for its high profile projects, and events designed to support and encourage the development and scholarship in the contemporary arts.* (partial text via Vara Art)

In other news: Posing as though we are employing new, innovative technologies we will be hosting podcast of the event so those who can not make it to the discussion, or want to refer to it at a later time will have a sound file available to them. Now you can experience us almost live via mp3. Full event details below.

Forgetting the F Word invites panelists Maura Reilly, Danielle Mysliwiec, and Paddy Johnson to discuss feminism and the evolving position of women in the arts.
