Dear Eyebeam,

Please update your upcoming exhibitions list.  I notice the latest show on your website closed a month ago, and I’m sure you have at least a couple Internet related projects to promote…what with you being an art and technology center and all.

Thanks!

Art Fag City

Dear Art Fag City,

Our upcoming exhibitions list on the calendar is indeed up to date (or it was when I just checked it). We are hosting a panel and launching out Eco-Vis Panel & Challenge on September 15 and will open our next exhibition, Interference, on September 27. These are both listed on the calendar on the web site.

This week and last our public space in Chelsea is closed to the public as we rent our venue out from time to time to generate income to support our exhibition programs. Fashion Week is one of those times. At the moment we do not list on our calendar when online projects are launched, we rather announce them in our e-blasts, to which you are welcome to subscribe if you are not already. You can do this from the site.

As we are currently re-designing our web site we will take into account your recommendation to also include online launches on our calendar; but at present the calendar only represents events in our Chelsea venue or other physical locations.

regards

Hi A-F-G

It must have been an issue of timing! We do start up our fall program later than most due to the aforementioned rental needs to support our programs. We do also know our web presence is in need of an overhaul to better accommodate the myriad of things we have going on at Eyebeam. We have a really wonderful new Comms and Marketing Manager, Rebecca Cittidini, who has just been with us for 2 months, but is working flat out with the rest of our small crew to get that happening pronto – she has heaps on her plate, but I know its a priority for her. I’m sure she’ll welcome your input and feedback as we get that process going over the next weeks!

Criticism aside, we actually really appreciate the fact that you care enough to comment – all feedback helps!

cheers,

Amanda
