Blackle has been criticized for being focused exclusively on cathode ray tube display devices, leaving liquid crystal display users in the proverbial dark — of 4 different LCD screens tested with all but the 24″ models were found to use more power displaying “black” webpages than their “white” counterparts.

I believe that this is all a scam google has the big name people are just looking for ways to take advantage of people who care about how much energy the consume.
