Calling All Masses! New Museum Opens This Saturday!

Let it be known that the New Museum‘s stairwell has all the charm of a pair of brand new white sneakers on a tread mill.  Imagine, unending stairs, surrounded by chalk white as far as the eye can see.  That space has to either see a little art, or have a scuff or two placed on the walls to tone it down a notch.  I felt like a character in a thriller.

We’ll be discussing Unmonumental and the New Museum’s reopening at length here at AFC, though it’s unlikely it will happen until after the weekend.  In the meantime, be sure to check out the New Museum’s relaunched website.  We naturally approve of the new font — it sharing certain affinities with our own Benton Sans — but the site on the whole is just easier to navigate.
