You’ll note we’re doing something a little different with our featured masthead artist, as our most recent invite is in fact a publication. Distributed soley by email (meaning their website does not host back issues) Private Circulation is a monthly pdf featuring proposals, unrealized art projects, brief histories, photo collections, large posters, and essays.
As some readers may recall, I responded to one such proposal/unrealized art project/brief history a while ago, when the publication sent out their Cyan issue this spring. It remains one of my favorite posts to date. That particular issue remains available for download through that post, though Private Circulation is making one more PDF available to Art Fag City readers in honor of their featured artist status [see the bottom of this post]. Also, instead of an artist bio, the outfit has provided a yearly statement of ownership. Enjoy!
