Marcin Ramocki’s Brooklyn DIY, a must see documentary on the Williamsburg art scene 1987-2007, premieres at MoMA tonight at 8:30. I’ve written a short recommendation for the movie over at The Daily Beast, beginning with the following lead, “Between the recount of a man in a three-piece suit, underwater, reading the New York Times, and an undefined goo substance comprising an installation piece, Brooklyn DIY could easily be described as a screwball documentary about Williamsburg.
