New York City: Now With More Donuts!

The most important regional story since the New York maple syrup smell mystery broke today.  Canadian donut outlet and coffee house Tim Hortons will set up shop in New York.  Unfortunately, the store has found the ickiest location to begin their operations: Penn Station (they’ve also chosen the less abrasive New York Stock Exchange as a home).  As such, we’d like to make a public request to Creative Time: Please place some public art projects in Penn Station so we can enjoy a superior donut.  Without it, AFC’s Canadian editor will be indefinitely tortured.

Well, it’s not Hamilton, that’s for sure.

You mean Burlington? It’s the only city in Ontario I know of with an intersection supporting a Tim Horton donuts on each corner.

That number has to be wrong. Only 2 locations came up when I used the store locator and plugged in Times Square with a 10 mile radius. (UPDATE: Apparently I can’t use the store locator properly…it still seems disproportionate to what I’ve experienced)

The *best* donuts are Hot Donuts & Tacos in San Antonio. I would pit their donut against any made anywhere. Not a chain though.

Could the Creative Time do some donut art in San Antonio?
