Here’s a report I don’t like: A committee put together by Brandeis University to examine the future of the Rose Museum recommends it remain open but does not take a stand on the sale of its art work. They also suggest more efforts should be placed on fulfilling Brandeis’s educational mission. No acknowledgment that the sale of artwork directly undermines this objective is noted. UPDATE: REINHARZ RESIGNS – Rumor has it the board of trustees of the univesity was already discontent with the “universal” decision to sell the collection – this could be a major turningpoint in moving forward with the Rose
