Following up on yesterday’s response to Adam Lindemann’s NY Observer “defense” of the New Museum’s Skin Fruit, a selection of work from the collection of Dakis Joannou curated by Jeff Koons, AFC commentor Critic’s critic added the following:
It's all well and good that Adam Lindemann makes the argument he does in his Observer article. But I for one would have been smirking a little less had he been bold enough to implicate himself in the following paragraph (my additions/suggested revisions are in brackets):

The prior Urs Fischer show at the museum was curated by Massimiliano Gioni, who is close to Maurizio Cattelan, who is close to Dakis, who is close to Jeff Koons. Both Dakis and Mr. Koons are close to Jeffrey Deitch. [I, Adam Lindemann, myself belong to the “exclusive group of funders and supporters” Massimiliano Gioni thanked in the Urs Fischer catalogue and I am a collector of Fischer’s work, installation shots of which at my Montauk home were included in the New Museum exhibition catalogue.] Is this a problem? Or is this all part of some cabal? If one is offended by power cliques, get out of the art world-it's full of them.
Urs Fischer’s work is included the Joannou show, so Lindemann might have disclosed his investments. Certainly they inform his position.

let me get this straight ok? a millionaire tells uninformed readers that the world is tough and business law rules and if you dont like it hit the road? Oh great, amazing level of civilization. Please, can I go asleep and wake up when the western civilization has rebuked the Lindemanns of this world? How does that newspaper allow such a direct attack to its reader’s intelligence? Well the only good thing about all this is that now we know whois ”friend” with who in the big business of ‘fine art’. Its all GOSSIP and crude statements by multimillionaire writers! (and, since when b2b relationships are ‘friendships’? what that? abuse of the word ”friends’?
