Best Link Ever! Meowmania!

Paddy is in Rhode Island, so you are stuck with me. But fear not because today I bring you Best Link Ever!

Will time ever run out on the cat meme? First there were LOLcats, then came keyboard cat, the cat that stands up, and even the cat that looks like Wilford Brimley. They just keep coming and coming—and I for one just haven’t gotten sick of them.

This is the latest cat-related site I have come across, and by far one of the more enjoyable since it’s interactive and looks pretty slick. Just one click of the mouse starts your journey through a rainbow of kittens, each with its own meow, allowing you to live out your crazy-old-cat-lady fantasies whenever you choose.

David Harper maintains Art Fag City's Best Link Ever! column, and is the blog's Curatorial Fellow. Harper is the Visual Arts Curator for The Brooklyn Academy of Music.

This is the dumbest thing on earth. Therefore, I love it with the power of a thousand suns.

I’ll draw you a cat, whatever the vibe. I draw the cat that you describe.

Way before there was LOLcats there was catscan.com — famously the subject of the first-ever metafilter post. It was so long ago that we posted about it in PRINT in our magazine. I’m sad it’s gone. It was like Infinity Cat in that it foregrounded the delight that cats seem to take in messing around at computer work stations.
