The trend is painful. Doing it once with actors as Nazis makes sense. Doing it with upside down Christmas trees was fun. Leif Garret was tolerable. Doing it over and over again is killing me. It needs to end. No one but your Facebook friends really care what images your repeatedly show next to one another in a grid. Yes, there exist in this world thousands of movie stills and screen grabs that show same or similar objects. Why are they right side up? Is outer space so fixated on our gravity that it mandates we show spaceshipmen right side up?
Had this been done 40 years ago maybe it would have been fascinating. Warhol might have patted you on the head and said, “Hmmm NASA is cool. So are astronauts. They are sexy with their heavy suits. No one likes a vacuum. Well, that kind anywayâ€.
