n+1 symposium on Roland Barthes: Reflections on the public, private intellectual
Date: Monday, November 8th 2010
Venue: The Kitchen512 West 19th Street

Who wants to go to a Roland Barthes lecture? Barthes is one of the more “accessible” philosophers to readers outside university settings, plus the lecture is launched by N+1, a journal known for pulling its academic weight while abstaining from jargon. This symposium will focus on the posthumous publication of Mourning Diary and Barth’s legacy with publisher Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
