Robert Rauschenberg’s estate, previously shared with Pace, is now in the hands of Gagosian. This means we’ll see a lot more of the famed Abstract Expressionist at the gallery, hopefully with at least one exhibition on the scale of Manet’s Late Works and the Manzoni Retrospective. The worry is that the work will end up with market curating — hanging by what will sell as opposed to what is actually good — a la Roy Lichtenstein’s still lives this summer.
