Let’s just come clean on this whole Color Wheel thing; I’m about to name a trending color for the week, without having seen the biennial or any fairs (they open mid-week). Basically, there’s not a hope in hell this is accurate.
Having said this, I’m offering up my best educated guess regardless: Chrome. Technically, it’s not a color, but we know collectors like shiny objects. It’s also the first color you’ll see on Contemporary Art Daily today, a site we know is influential, at least in educational circles, as Art F City interns have been obsessed with the site as of late.
So, here’s to Josef Strau at Vilma Gold. The gallery will be exhibiting at The Independent this week, so we expect you’ll be able to see a few of these Italo Calvino inspired works which include lamps poking through aluminum shades that have yet to be made.
