Listening to people rave about Sarah Sze’s Venice Biennale pavilion, Triple Point (Planetarium), was a little like hearing people talk about an amazing trip to a place you’ll never go. Like much of Sze’s work, it’s an installation with lots of different themes running through it, unspecific press statements surrounding it, and is basically impossible to capture in photos. People seemed to read their own thoughts into it.
Now, those of us who didn’t get to Venice will get the opportunity form our own opinions. Starting next Thursday, the Bronx Museum will present that installation. It runs July 3 through August 24.
