We here at Art F City imagine our readers to get instant and profound satisfaction from glossy books filled with art, perhaps neatly stacked into organized piles. Unfortunately, most art publications cost an arm and a leg. That won’t necessarily be the case this month, now that David Zwirner’s Annual Pop-Up Bookstore has returned. Co-hosted with ARTBOOK | D.A.P, the store will run from Monday, July 21 until Friday, August 1. And yes, while there’s some offers, there’s some fancy, signed swag to pick up, too.
If you don’t need/want/have money for artist books, you can get some more sweet shit. There’s magazines, DVDs, posters, bumper stickers, tote bags, T-shirts, and anything else. Basically, if you want something new to put on a wall, coffee table, or your body, you just might want to show up.
Find directions and hours here, and meet us there next week.
P.S. It’s David Zwirner, so the list of books by well-known artists will be expansive. To name a few, there will be catalogs by Karla Black, Michaël Borremans, Isa Genzken, Toba Khedoori, Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama, Jockum Nordström, Blinky Palermo, Ad Reinhardt, Bridget Riley, Richard Serra, Al Taylor, Wolfgang Tillmans, Fred Sandback, Jordan Wolfson, among others, and signed catalogues by Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Stan Douglas, Marcel Dzama, Suzan Frecon, Chris Ofili, Raymond Pettibon, Michael Riedel, Yutaka Sone, Luc Tuymans, and James Welling.
