NADA Miami Beach Moves to Fontainebleau

Fontainebleau

Fontainebleau

Say goodbye to NADA Miami’s pool party raves, giant chandelier ballrooms and shoddy internet. Having grown more than double its size since 2003, the fair will no longer be hosted at its home for the last five years—the Deauville Beach Resort. Let us all breathe a sigh of relief: that venue’s “character” has always been more  inconvenient than hip.

Come December 2015, the fair will move to Fontainebleau, a larger venue closer to the main fair, Art Basel at Miami Beach. We’re looking forward to this, but we have some reservations. First, we’ve noticed there are chandeliers at this venue as well, along with some dangerous-looking square drippy ceiling fixtures. So much for art bathed in natural light. We’ll forgive this though, if Fontainebleau is able to provide a working internet connection. The value of being able to send an email cannot be understated.
