For years, artist Dina Kelberman has mined a seemingly endless supply of imagery from pop culture staples such as Star Trek and The Simpsons. Her series “Doors” is a selection of Star Trek’s automatic doors (the kind that make the “whoosh” sound) opening and closing on their own, always without a figure in the frame. Door 16, Door 11, and Door 7, respectively, are highlights because they are set in the holodeck—a twenty-fourth-century room in which any fantasy can be created with holograms.
