For New York’s art world, summer truly begins after July Fourth. That’s when a majority of galleries change to a Monday through Friday schedule. Except for Bushwick. They usually keep their doors open on Saturday and Sunday. But you just never know with some galleries—so no matter what, remember to consult gallery websites, or give the gallery a call, before you go anywhere during the summer.

And if you go a-knockin’ on a weekend and get shut out, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
