Tom Moody alters a David Pfifferling dithered GIF of a chair mutating into what amounts to a smushed piece of metal. In Moody’s hand drawn version, the chair similarly mutates, though in this case it becomes a thicket of drawn lines that vaguely resembles wicker. There’s a sense of growing intensity to the piece, but also a hypnotic reset to the GIF. Just when you think it will run a full circle it reverts back to its resting state. Nothing builds forever.
